Introduction to Jandia
On the southernmost tip of Fuerteventura's Jandia peninsula, Jandia is a relaxing resort where activity is firmly fixed on the beach. Located between Costa Calma and Morro Jable, the town spreads along the southern end of Sotavento beach, a colossal ribbon of gorgeous white sands. It's a popular spot for windsurfing thanks to summertime coastal breezes, but there's always plentiful space to lie back in privacy and admire the glorious sea and mountainscapes.
When you tire of the beach, touristy stores offer great tax-free shopping along the sands, and at night, a healthy selection of lively bars and restaurants offer after-dark entertainment. For a change of scenery, the traditional harbour of Morro Jable is a short drive away as is Jandia's spectacular nature reserve, with its undulating dunes and lagoons perfect for nature-lovers and hikers.
