Here you'll find a pretty sandy beach and plentiful shops, cafes and bars. If you fancy a change of scene, nearby Playa de los Pocillos has another sandy beach as well as watersports and tennis. Puerto del Carmen, one of the island's livelier resorts with an abundance of night-life and shopping, is just up the coast. Because Matagorda is situated close to the airport, you may experience some aircraft noise.
