Resort Sirmione - hotel in Italian Lakes

Sitting on a peninsula jutting into southern Lake Garda, charming Sirmione was first settled by the Romans, who came here for the thermal springs gurgling from the lake bed. Pass through the harbourside 13th century Scaligeri castle and you'll enter a labyrinth of narrow streets crammed with chic shops, cafes, churches and smart restaurants. Further along, lush gardens and walkways lead to a picturesque church and atmospheric Roman villa ruins, all swathed in splendid views over the serene waters. When you fancy exploring further, regular ferries leave for other pretty waterfront towns, and in Sirmione itself, you'll find two lakeside lidos, complete with watersports and pedalos ideal for simply relaxing in the Italian sunshine.
