Introduction to Yasmine Hammamet
Yasmine Hammamet is Tunisia's new resort development, situated 11 kms from the centre of Hammamet. This purpose-built resort benefits from a long stretch of golden sand, gently lapped by the Mediterranean sea, and it's also home to a 780-berth marina. Although most evening activities focus around the hotels, there's also a casino, a promenade, cafes and a large entertainment centre to explore. The town centre bursts with shops and bazaars where you can buy anything from pottery and spices to carpets and jewellery. Hammamet is just a 20 minute taxi ride away, and if you head out of town to Nabeul, the choice of ceramics and pottery is amazing. For golfers, the 18-hole Yasmine golf course beckons those wanting to brush up on their handicap.
