If you're one of those people that likes going somewhere new on holiday every year, you might want to give the Santa Catalina a try. Reason being, once you stay here you'll want to come back again and again and again. The Santa Catalina is one of those rare hotels that ticks all the right boxes. The location's a big clincher. Set in lush gardens, it's opposite the sports harbour, and just a hop, skip and a jump down to the residential area of Ciudad Jardin in the centre of Doramas Park. Tucked in lush gardens, and with views out to sea, this elegant hotel is lovely spot just to kick back and relax. And if you want a break from the sun, you can always retire to the gorgeous indoor swimming pool and revitalizing Spa centre for a pampering treatment or two. Sunloungers and pools aside, the bedrooms here are just lovely, decked out in fresh Mediterranean colours and with all the mod cons like air-conditioning and satellite TV. Food at the Santa Catalina is another plus point. Start the day off with a sizzling breakfast, then perhaps grab a quick snack at the pool bar for lunch before getting ready for a slap up meal at the all-you-can-eat buffet come dinnertime. As if that wasn't enough, there's also an a la carte restaurant and a special theme night every week. Once you're pleasantly full, pull up a pew in the bar for a glass of rioja. Or perhaps settle down to enjoy the organised entertainment that's laid on. If, however, you want to go out in the evenings, the nearby restaurants and tapas bars are within easy striking distance. All in all, the Santa Catalina is a gem of a hotel.
