With the rocky cliffs of Los Gigantes on one side and Tenerife's sister island - La Gomera - in the distance, the Barceló Santiago enjoys a gorgeous cliff-top setting. With stunning views over the bay, it's one of the most scenic sports on the island. When you feel like hitting the sea, a promenade from the hotel connects and leads you onto a small beach. Along with a top location, the hotel has a great pool scene. There are three pools to choose from, plus a separate pool that's just for the kids'. Elsewhere, there's a wide variety of amenities and comforts including tennis and a stylish spa. So, you can work up a sweat before heading off for a soothing massage. Meal times are particularly good too. Everything is served buffet-style in the main restaurant with chefs ready to cook your fish and meat to order, but for something more gourmet, head to the à la carte grill restaurant. During the evening, things step up a notch, head to one of the bars for after dinner drinks. Or, if you’re looking for something a bit more lively, there’s an entertainment programme featuring music and shows.
